The History Of Christmas can be traced to some of the popular festival celebrated by early civilization that gave way to Christmas.

The ancient Romans celebrate every year honoring their God Saturn.  The event called Saturnalia, commenced in the middle of December and stretched until the first week of January.  The Romans festooned their homes with ornaments similarly trees by hanging candles.
History of Christmas says before the birth of Jesus Christ Christmas was all about exchanging gifts, putting Christmas trees at home, going to churches, carols, decoration of tree and home, wearing new clothes, shopping, party, gathering and having traditional dinners but later it was incorporated with the birth of Jesus Christ and then after 25th December is basically celebrated as a Jesus’ birth.  The history of Christmas is a plain tale, told since many ages. To reiterate it in new words than are written in the Bible will be like putting my words into your mouth and simultaneously deviating you from the precise truth, but virtually everything is open to several interpretations. Most of the people wear new clothes and go to churches (which seems very beautiful during Christmas days and decorated with lights and ornaments) to thanking god for blessing them good time, health, prosperity and wishing coming year to be more happiest and successful for everybody, participating in churches activities and singing carols.

As per the History of Christmas carols, people in Scandinavia celebrate the shortest day of the year which comes on 22nd December and it is a Winter Solstice, people sing celebration songs which later give birth to Christmas carols. After church’s visit people go to parties dancing, music, competition and games, history about Christmas celebration said celebration is in incomplete if it is not followed by Christmas traditional dinner which contains turkey chicken, rice, fish, cakes & wine. The history of Christmas carols tells that during 14th centaury when the baby Jesus used to murmur the songs blended in English and Latin, it became popular. The history of Christmas celebration tells that Christmas was celebrated first in the church, when the Roman Catholic Church required incorporate the festival Saturalia, which honored Saturn and the Roman celebration of Natalia Solis Invite both of which were celebrated on December 25th. The date of December 25thwas declared to be the birthday of the Son of God.

The Christmas history dates back over 4000 years. The 12 days of Christmas, the bright fires, the Yule log, the giving of gifts, carnivals with floats, carolers who sing while going from house to house, feasts, and the church processions takes us back to the early Mesopotamians.

Eventually, in Christianity this day was declared as a BIG DAY and the period of these 12 days celebrate in the name of the Christian Son of God. Consequently, Christ’s exact birth date has never been identified. According to some traditions, it has been declared on 25th of December and some traditions say it is celebrated on 6th, 7th or 12th January.

Many traditions have observed that Christmas holiday season commenced before the birth of Christ.  Exchanging gifts, adornment of trees, and the burning of the Yule log were all traditions of winters that started prior to the birth of Christ, eventually integrated into the festival that came to be known as Christmas. Thus, Christmas began.
